About Hope

Hope grew up in Easley, SC, as the youngest of four sisters. In high school, she often found herself helping her peers in math class and discovered a true passion for teaching. This led her to Charleston in 2014, where she pursued a degree in Math Education at the College of Charleston.

In 2018, Hope became a Math Teacher at West Ashley High School, where she spent five years in the classroom. After stepping away from traditional teaching, she found her calling in one-on-one tutoring, where she could provide personalized support and see students thrive. Over the past few years, her tutoring practice has grown steadily, and in February 2025, she also joined Porter-Gaud as a tutor.

Hope is thrilled to now call tutoring her full-time career, combining private sessions with her work at Porter-Gaud. She is passionate about helping students build confidence in math and develop a love for learning.

At home, she shares life with her boyfriend of seven years, Brody, and their energetic Golden Retriever, Manning. They love spending time at the beach, where Manning’s enthusiasm for rolling in the sand never fails to bring laughter.

Hope looks forward to helping more students succeed and making math a little less daunting—one problem at a time!

"Hope not only addresses strengths and weaknesses in our daughter, but she coordinates with her school curriculum, makes it fun to study. Our daughter looks forward to her sessions with Hope. We could not have found a better person."
